Meet the owner
Meghan Libous
Owner / Instructor. Miss Meg has over 18 years of experience teaching the art of dance. She was born and raised in Binghamton, NY where she studied dance at the Dance Connection from ages 7 – 18. Miss Meg opened Signature Dance Studio in 2016.
More about Miss Nina
Nina Capone graduated from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She started her dance career at the age of three at Jill Reiner's Cortland dance studio, moving on to Cortland City Ballet at seven years old, and then to the SUNY Cortland Performing Arts Institute from age 11 to 18, where she took ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, and hip hop until she graduated from Dryden high school. Nina was a member of the Cortland Comets gymnastics team, sponsored by the YMCA, for eight years. Following her years as a gymnast, she served as an instructor to children who were beginning the study of gymnastics, as well as a teaching assistant for beginning and intermediate dance students at the Performing Arts Institute. To keep up her performance skills while at college, she took dance classes at FIT. Nina continued her dance career as a teacher at Tre Bella’s for two years teaching ballet, jazz and acro before coming to Signature Dance Studio in 2017.
More about Miss Morgan
Morgan Thayer was born and raised in Ithaca, NY. She played soccer and lacrosse for many years, but her love is for dance. She started her dance career at the age of 12 at Tre Bella's Dance Studio. Then moving to Signature Dance Studio from age 13 to 18, where she took ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and pointe until she graduated from Ithaca High School. She also graduated with college credits from TST BOCES Early Childhood Program. Morgan was also an assistant at Signature Dance Studio for 4 years. After school, Morgan took a gap year. During this time she started subbing and teaching at the studio. Morgan is planning to take college classes with a major in Early Childhood Education.
